Help Shape Emotional Health and Wellbeing Services in Telford and Wrekin and Shropshire Young people, carers, parents and stakeholders are being urged to have their say on emotional wellbeing services across Telford and Wrekin and Shropshire, at a special event this weekend.
Telford & Wrekin and Shropshire Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) as well as Telford & Wrekin Council and Shropshire Council have joined together to work on a project that will change emotional health and wellbeing services for children and young people across the area for the better.
Next Saturday March 19th 2016 people are being invited to attend an engagement event at Meeting Point House in Telford, to talk about their experiences, what if anything needs to change and how they would like to see services shaped in the future, using a process called Experienced Based Commissioning.
Deputy Executive Anna Hammond is the Senior Responsible Officer for the project, on behalf of the four organisations involved. She said: “We want to speak to people to explore: “What needs to happen to build strong emotional wellbeing and resilience in children, young people (0-25’s) and their families in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin?”. She added: “We know that there will be children, young people, parents/carers and professionals who will have a story to tell. We need to hear them directly so we can use these experiences to help us design better services that will enable young people to be resilient and maintain control of their life and health. I would urge as many people, including stakeholders, parents, carers, and providers of service to attend as what they tell us, really will make a difference.“
The public engagement event is being held between 10am and 1pm on Saturday March 19th in the Walker Room, Meeting Point House, Town Centre, Telford, TF3 4HS
