Shropshire Council created a new topic for customers to subscribe to called “Shropshire’s Big Conversation”.
This new topic will bring you information around consultations specific to service delivery and how this may change in the future. It will also be used to let you know about updates in relation to The Big Conversations and include things like invitations to focus groups and other ways you can get involved in this huge project.
It affects everyone so we’d encourage you to subscribe to it and get colleagues, friends and family to sign up also (simply forward this post on to them as it contains a link to the website where you can find out more and access a sign up link).
So what is the Big Conversation?
The Big Conversation is the biggest consultation the council has launched as it effects all of the 150 plus services the council provides.
Like all local authorities, the council is faced with the need to make further substantial savings in the coming years due to ongoing government cuts.
In a few years’ time, we’ll have less than one quarter of the money that now funds 150+ council services which means we’ll have to stop delivering some services and we need your help to tell us which are important to you, and what you can do to help and make the remaining resources we have, go further
